thanks

Hey,
Thanks so much for posting all the clips, and putting in all the hard work so we can follow your journey downwards!
it really makes me smile watching the clips (and it's a great break from revision!)
thanks again, say hi to the guys,

Fantastic Job Claudio!

My family and I are really enjoying the play-by-play video "feed" from the trip - makes us feel like part of the crew - luckily there is no sand here! Claudio you are doing a great job under these atrocious conditions; a true testament to your work.
Please keep them coming!

Cheers
Richard.

PS Need to see more of Charley’s antics.

thank you all so much!

Of course I enjoy the clips!!! And I'm also so thankful, that you have always a written subscript to the videos. Here in the office, I can't play the videos because of firewall. But then I can at least read the text. And as soon as I can leave, I jump on my bike, drive home and watch the videos!! It's amazing how much work you all do for us. I just can say: thank you, thank you so much! I really hope that you still enjoy the trip and see all the beautiful things around you! And btw, my list of 'places to go' grows all the time when I see the clips!

Claudio is a God!!

Ok, perhaps that's overstating it a bit, but my family loves watching the video clips every day, so his and presumably Jimmy's efforts are much appreciated.

It's school break here, and we're taking the opportunity to study about the areas the guys are passing through. That way, we can tell ourselves it's an educational interest, rather than a family of motorheads living vicariously.

Definitely enjoying the clips!

Thanks so much for the extra work to get these clips to us! Someone else posted it here and I agree, it really does make us feel like we're on the trip too. It's also reassuring to see everyone is doing well and having a great time. (Sans the sandblasting everyone got.) Thanks, Claudio and Jim for the work. It's become a great addiction.

Awesomebeans!

Great update, I'm a media production graduate so always very interested to see what goes on behind the scenes, great to see Claudio doing a bit of editing.

That wind is causing a big problem though, hey, you need a big popguard or a Dougal on your mic!

Great to see those ruins, it's hard to comprehend something so old, imagining the hustle and bustle that must have gone on there thousands of years ago.

Thanks again for the daily updates, good to see you having such a good time :o)

Maybe you guys could provide us with a few more pictures, day to day. The two or three pics a day are too much of a tease.. Nevertheless, I do feel like I'm riding shot-gun with Russ, the daily play by play is thrilling!

Folks,
Fantastic work re: editing 'on-the-fly'! Hope the process of bringing them to us isn't taking away from the 'once-in-a-lifetime' aspect of the trip. Of course as Ewan stated at trip's start ... this group and it's trips seem to connote multiple lifetimes. ;-) Onward!

One Fantastic Journey

I am so enjoying your new adventures. I loved Long Way Round immensely. The Libyan Roman site looks amazing. Can't wait for the show to air in November. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences on the website. The videos are so cool, its great to take part in watching all your daily adventures. I have a look every day and its great as its happening right now!
My brother in law Rick and his partner saw you all and the bikes in Dover, he was also travelling to Italy on his motorbike for time out, he is travelling around Corsica and Sicily and might go across to North Africa. Stay safe and have the time of your lives.

Great job Claudio, Ewan and Charley

It is soooooo exciting going on this trip with you guys. It sure looks like you are having a great time, wind, sand, and all.
Claudio, and who ever else is bringing all these wonderful videos and text to us, you are doing an excelelnt job.
Sorry to say that the clip with Claudio in the truck, was not coming through, but the text could be read. That is the only one so far that wouldn't play. Perhaps it will get fixed!
You guys have made thousands of fans VERY VERY HAPPY.
It is such a great treat that you included all of us in your trip. It's almost, [ha ha], like rideing right along with you. I am sure you will say ,"yea, right'!!!!!
Thanks again. Ride safe and be safe----- Char

Best wishes!

HI guys. I’m so thrilled that you are doing another epic journey! I love that I can check your progress every day, {obsessed much?} and see that your both ok. I started watching LWR with my husband and his best mate Dean - since then I was hooked and watched it all. You inspired Dean and his flatmate to film ‘The top way round’ on their bikes where they camped on the route up to Scotland and back. It was a low budget production ,but we all enjoyed watching it just the same. I have to say that I really love you both, and the work you do with UNICEF is just marvellous, it brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion in the last series. It’s so nice to see you as you really are and not just a character in a film. I have nothing but admiration for you both. Best wishes to you, and the rest of the team. Lots of love xxxxx

Clips are great

I followed Charlie's progress on the Dakar website last year, but this is even better with the clips and logs. The lack of broken bones and petrol stained eyeballs is a real boon too. Overcoming the hard bits are the things that make a journey great, but I hope there are more good days than bad ones for you all. Can't wait to get my hands on the DVD and book. Good luck for the rest of the trip.

Thanks for the Videos and Updates

Ewan, Charley, Claudio, Jimmy, Russ, and all the team,
Thanks for the great videos and updates!
I wrote a poem for all of you:

Wherever you ride I ride with you
With you in spirit I follow
I send my best wishes true
And my prayers with you always go
So whenever the way is dark
And hopelessness falls nigh
When circumstances be stark
And you look down and sigh
Know how much others care
And trust in God above
Know my thoughts are always there
With blessings and hope and love

Take care and much love,
Lisa

Libya

Just found your site and good to see someone else enjoying Libya. I used to live in Tobruk 1968-9 and went back again in 2005. Tobruk hadn't changed for the better but the people were so welcoming. Also visited Leptis Magna - well worth the trip. Plenty of past and present photos of Tobruk and Libya on www.tears.org.uk
As a non-biker I thoroughly enjoy watching/reading about your trips. Very envious of your adventures. Good luck with the rest of the journey.
