Birthday Trafalgar Square! A trio of extraordinary events to celebrate
the first anniversary of the refurbishment of the Square.

Pet Shop Boys/Battleship Potemkin
Eisenstein's
classic silent film of political dissent on a giant screen, accompanied
by a new score, written and performed live by The Pet Shop Boys,
with the 26 piece Dresdner Sinfoniker. A highlight of this year's
programme, this event promises to be an extraordinary and memorable
collaboration. Presented by the Institute of Contemporary Arts with
art direction by Simon McBurney of Théâtre de la Complicité.

London at your Feet
Showcasing young talented Londoners who have been supported by The
Prince's Trust and promoting the benefits of walking as part of
ITV's Britain on the Move campaign. Featuring live music, market
stalls, interactive sports and free guided walks of the City.

The Square, it's Neighbours and the Campaign for Drawing host art
activities for all - including the creation of a huge painting,
revealed at the end of the day.
BBC One's Rolf on Art will broadcast live from the Square.
