Make
the most of the few days of British summer we have been kindly
given this week with a day out which will help you enjoy the arts
and the great outdoors at the same time.
Four
teams of artists will be stationed at key points in Kensington Gardens
and Hyde Park, organising art activities for all members
of the family.
To
take part pick a map up from the gallery between 10am and
3pm, then go get creative!

This
child-centred day is part of Mayor Ken Livingstone’s Summer
in the Square programme which aims to bring the wide variety
of the capital’s arts to the fore.
Wacky
street theatre with the likes of The Invisible Men
renowned for their unique brand of visual comedy including eye-popping
juggling antics and uni-cycling.
Throughout
the afternoon kids can have a go at mask making with Emergency
Exit Arts and join in a parade with the fantastic Bollywood
Brass Band.
Music
The South African Big Braii Bernie Spain Gardens, Upper Ground,

Satisfy
your need for food and good tunes at this South African
barbecue - or Braii.
Heading
the line-up is Doreen Thobekile - who has sung with the likes
of Tammy Wynette and the KLF - and Transglobal Underground
with their eclectic mix of house, dance, and world beat music.
The
Harry Moyaga Big Band, Jive Nation and Stars of
Umoja also performing sets.
