Guns, girls,
gadgets and glamorous locations: these elements, much copied though
seldom bettered, are the staple of any Bond movie worth its salt.
But when it comes
to exotic locations, the latest 007 offering has a London surprise
up its sleeve.
It's
not often, for instance, that we can show you Hackney as the heart
of the Hollywood film machine.
In the upcoming 'Die Another Day' however part of E8 has miraculously
been turned into a...Cuban cigar factory.
"007 goes
to a cigar den seeking information," explained Bond star Pierce
Brosnan, speaking exclusively to BBC London, "Bond is synonymous
with London, England...so it's great fun whenever I'm on location
in London."
Another sting
in the tale
Brosnan,
dressed impeccably in a close-fitting shirt matched with dark slacks,
was speaking as 'Die Another Day' wrapped and headed for post-production.
When our Entertainment
reporter Amanda Hussain put it to him that she'd heard he
was in the frame for a further two Bond movies, Brosnan laughed
and said:
"I like that
because I never know if they'll invite me back. If it's true, you
heard it here first on BBC London...!"
