With
their new single 'Honest Mistake' storming into the airplay charts
- and its accompanying video is by far the best thing I've seen
in the last 12 months - New York electro rockers The Bravery are
ripe for checking out at this new venue in Camden.

"The
Bravery are the epitome of rock, their 80s hairstyles and
clothes resembling the likes of The Smiths and the Human League..."
|
Technical
problems threatened to spoil the show - until the taped music stopped
and the lights went out.
Suddenly
the band arrived on stage and, as vocalist Sam tore into their first
song of the night, 'Unconditional', the youthful crowd went completely
and utterly crazy!
Little
wonder. The Bravery are the epitome of rock, their 80s hairstyles
and clothes resembling the likes of The Smiths, the Human League,
Gary Numan and the Ramones.
And
yet the band radiates individuality; all five members have their
own distinctive visible characteristics, from
Sam with his gorgeous jet black hair and his amazing belts to bassist
Mike H with his black eye make-up.

Lead
singer Sam's performance was lapped up by the crowd

Proof
that the 80s can have a positive influence on a group of five sexy
young guys!
Performing
classic electro-rock songs from their self-titled debut album, these
were melodic and eminently catchy songs you could dance to.
The
band also brought a lot of vivacity to their performance and it
was lapped up by the crowd.
It
was as if they were feeding off each other. The louder and crazier
the audience became, the more thought and effort the band put into
their performance.
The
Bravery delivered one of the most outstanding performances I've
witnessed by a new band. They gave 100% and everyone went home happy,
impressed and overwhelmed.
See
'em if you can - or lose out. We'll be hearing a lot more from this
band in 2005, I guarantee it!
