Tonight
has American punk rawkers Green Day (pictured) playing the
second of two sold-out dates at the Brixton Academy, while the Black
Country's sampledelic groove machine Pop Will Eat Itself
are back together again and touring with a second night of mayhem
at the Shepherds Bush Empire.
Meanwhile
Wednesday boasts Irish tunesmiths Hal (pictured) at the Barfly,
while a new look Idlewild preview material from their upcoming
album Warnings/Promises (Parlophone Records) at one of my
favourite London theatres, the Shaw in the Euston Road.
And
finally, Thursday
sees the mighty Gang Of Four air their influential punk/funk
at the Shepherds Bush Empire, while one of Ryan Adams' favourite
singer/songwriters, Jesse Malin, lights up the Islington
Academy. Nice.
