"I'm the worst singles-merchant in the world", confessed David Bowie, kicking off 94.9FM's one-hour special with the Brixton born rock superstar.

Our man on the other side of the microphone, Gary Crowley, cornered him in a deserted Met Bar as Bowie, looking healthy and dapper in a dark polo neck, talked candidly about growing up in London, hitting the Mod clubs in the 60s, the new album - and why he can never pick out a single release - surreal American TV programmes, cover versions and all stops inbetween.

Use the links below to hear the conversation at your own pace. Above all - enjoy!
