From Tottenham Court Road we head to Soho Square W1 to gawp at the offices of Sir Paul McCartney.

The offices of Sir Paul McCartney's companyThe MPL logo on brown wood above the entrance stands for McCartney Productions Ltd - not McCartney, Paul and Linda (MPL), as many people think.

The company was set up to look after Paul’s solo projects when the band split. Macca is a regular visitor!

Beatles fans outside Trident Studios with guide Richard PorterThe next stop is a short wander through Soho’s back streets to the narrow St Anne’s Court, home of Trident Studios, where Hey Jude was recorded in 1968.

This is one of the few tracks not laid down at the group's studio of custom, Abbey Road Studios.

Gents loos in Broadwick StreetMost people wouldn't admit to hanging around Soho's loos, but the Men’s toilets in Broadwick Street is where we stop next.

This is where John Lennon filmed a sketch for Pete and Dud's 1960s TV comedy series Not Only, But Also...

John played a doorman standing outside the loos, which were turned into a nightclub for the sake of the sketch. The sign "Members Only" hung outside the so-called club!

Carnaby Street
Next is a stroll along Carnaby Street - mentioned prominently by The Kinks in the song 'Dedicated Follower of Fashion' - as it was renowned in the 60s for being THE place where celebrity movers and shakers bought their clothes.
