The gritty charisma, the cascading mane, Marina Diamond is living evidence of her Welsh / Greek heritage.

Now, having moved to London four years ago, she's every inch the modern cosmopolitan musician.

An unconventional merger of beats, piano and forthright, poetic singing, Diamond's performances draw parallels with Imogen Heap and Patrick Wolf in their twitching, bewitching style.

Marina's got the moves

Despite the band's name, the current line up consists of Marina Diamond herself; a piano-playing, singer / songwriter blessed with the luxury of working with a selection of talented friends and musicians for her live shows.

Newly associating with London indie Neon Gold Records, Marina and the Diamonds are about to release the debut single - and our chosen London Calling track - Obsessions on March 9 2009.
