In Camden, north London, The Film and Video Workshop holds various sessions teaching young people how to create animated videos.

The workshops encourage team building and help harness the raw talent of the participants.

Many of the children and young people come from different cultural backgrounds, and have rich imaginations. Creating animated films enables them to express themselves using a variety of the techniques.

Interview with Joey

Joey is one of the young participants at The Film and Video Workshop and started to be creative at a young age. He has been doing amateur animations since he was nine and before then also writing stories to animate.
