Do you have what it takes?
There aren’t many twenty-something year olds who’ve set up their own film making company and want to help other young people get into the industry.
But that’s exactly what one man from Havering is doing. 29 year old Neil Sherwani form Romford started out as a production assistant, but found he had was so passionate about film making that he wanted to set up his own company. So he did. He’s since made two short films- one horror, and one action comedy.
Now Neil’s giving aspiring script writers the chance to see work on screen. He’s asking any local budding writers to send in a script, and the best will be made into a film. “We are always on the lookout for new talent in all aspects of production.” Neil told me.”
He continued: “my aim is to enhance the possibilities of people in Romford and surrounding area with a chance to show their media talent and be recognised by actually working in the film industry on a worthwhile project working with a dedicated friendly ambitious production company.”
“We currently have a writing competition on, the winning applicant[s] will have their story made into a feature film. FTM Media will dedicate their time to organise everything from storyboards, locations, insurance, contracts, casting, food, rehearsals, obtaining equipment (camera, tripod, lights, trolley, jib, boom mic etc), preparing schedules, wardrobe, set design, props, crew, editing, music score and trailer design.”
