Nick Eriksen, who was a BNP candidate in the London-wide Assembly Member elections, described rape as a "myth" and says "some women are like gongs - and need to be struck regularly" on an internet blog. Mr Eriksen was unmasked as the writer behind the blog by the Evening Standard. The leader of the London BNP Party and candidate for mayor, Richard Barnbrook, was on BBC London - listen to what he had to say about the affair: Help playing audio/video The Green Party's mayoral candidate, Sian Berry said: "Eriksen's comments are a timely reminder of the true values of the BNP - destructive, hateful, and violent. The disgust that he feels towards women is unmistakeable, and characteristic of his organisation's attitude to so many other people in London."
