Silvery on this week's London Calling

Silvery: Live at Koko

This band sound like they've got their Wurlitzers in a right old twist and ready to let loose on an unsuspecting London. But the talent magpies are falling over themselves for a bit of Silvery. Read on...

They describe their sound as 'Victorian Circus Punk' and with influences such as early Blur and Suede, Glam-era Sparks and Bowie, they're not far off the mark.

True blue English eccentrics, Silvery have been together for three years and have managed to  fuse all the fun of the fair with deliciously discordant organs to create one heck of a show.

Already stars of stage and screen, they've played some of their biggest shows at the ever-heaving Club NME and the O2 Festival. The band have gone on to create their quite unmissable video to single Horrors, now showing on their MySpace page.

Silvery play the O2 Fest in Hyde Park

Having caught the attention of London indie label Blow Up, the fantastic single is due for release in March 2008 and has already been voted single of the week by Organ zine.

You can get yourself a copy of the single along with all the latest band news by logging on to Silvery's MySpace at

Find the link in the right-hand column of this page and go treat yourself to some chaotic cabaret.
