Our staff are mostly leading the workshops. But without either funding or support from the following organisations HOME wouldn't have been possible:
BBC London’s HOME project has teamed up local BBC journalists with young adults in Tower Hamlets, offering them guidance on how to create their own films, radio clips and pictures about their local area. The project has been running since January 2008 and will finish in April. How accurate is EastEnders?The BBC drama EastEnders came in for criticism as real young east enders claimed that it gave the wrong impression of their lives and of the area they live in, especially the ethnic make-up of east London. ![]() Filming on Bethnal Green Road Some young film-makers went out to ask locals how similar Albert Square was to their own back yard. A third video piece took the form of another play - this time it was the story of a teenager who turned to his friends when he became a victim of racism. BBC London is running HOME with support from Tower Hamlets Partnership, Arts Council England, Rich Mix, CSV and Crisis.
