14 students from Havering College have become the first in the country to secure their own regular spot on a commercial radio station, hosting their own weekend show.
The “End of the weekend show” began initially as a chance for the media students to gain some experience broadcasting live on air, following a successful pilot last year.
But bosses at Havering's Time FM were so impressed with the ratings the teens pulled in, they've given them a stint presenting their own show.
It'll run initially from January through to Easter.
19 year old Faye Hough who co-presents the show told me:
“I was petrified about speaking on the first show, which wasn't like me at all, but once I got into it everything was fine….
It’s the first time I've worked on a live radio show.
Not many people get a chance like this so I plan on grabbing it with both hands and making the most out of it.”
Not content with securing their own show, the teens made a short film about their experiences.
