A subject very close to the hearts of the pupils, as the age of those affected by gun related crimes is falling
The students, all members of the borough's SACRE, (Student Advisory Council for Religious Education) decided to create a film based on their experience and knowledge of youth related gun crime. "We made our film using government statistics that we felt were most relevant to our society." As students and young members of the community they felt it was their duty to inform other young people of the dangers concerning both gun related crimes, by using a combination of both film and music produced by one of our members. The final production took only a day to make and involved nearly thirty students from several schools across Newham. The process involved lots of co-ordination, patience and typified their unified aim to deliver their powerful message on gun related crime. "We hope that this bold and powerful film will help make Newham a safer borough for its inhabitants. Our aim in creating this film is to leave a lasting impression on people's lives and teach them the dangers of gun related crimes."
