About UsYou are in: London > Radio > 94.9 Information > About Us > The High Priests ![]() High Priests: Debut album out The High PriestsFrom the lectern of pop, they preach to the masses, the mods and the moshers. With a new single in the pipeline, London Calling joins the The High Priests' congregation. The High Priests are a North London trio who are teaching London how to stop slouching cynically in the corner and start rediscovering the dance floor. Together for two years the band, singer and guitarist Dan, bassist Nick and drummer Jody, combine high power guitar with all the get up and go-go of sixties pop. A glance at their MySpace soon suggests this band have more than one or two influences, although they list The Velvet Underground as top ranking and have so much love for Love they fancy covering the band's hit Little Red Book. Relentlessly feel good songs, from forthcoming single Baby Diamond Mind through to Coral sound-a-like Tombstones, High Priests have melody on their side all the way. Listen to their repertoire and flavours of The kinks' and Brit pop heroes Supergrass come through stronger than an orange Dib Dab. ![]() High Priests: get romantic Picked up by indie label, Little League Productions, The High Priests say that releasing debut single Hibernation was one of their all time highs. With follow up single and London Calling track Baby Diamond Mind out in October of this year, we predict the fun aint over yet. Continuing to seek inspiration via "Motown, Arthur Rimbaud and Self prescribed medication", don't we all, the band are continuing to perform regularly and will no doubt be at a London venue near you soon.
