Would you give up your Premier League season ticket for non league? One of our Non League Show reporters will spend the season contemplating giving up his Liverpool allegiance to support a Non League club - should he do it? Want to suggest a club he should support and why? It's a difficult question - or is it? You may have followed the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd since you were in nappies but how easy is it to get to games these days? Have you re-mortgaged your home, sold your car or forgone a luxury annual holiday for the last 10 years for the pleasure of attending these expensive games? More importantly; are you fed up with sky-high prices and overpaid players who no longer possess the loyalty to team, club and fans? So the question "would you give up your Premier League season ticket to support a Non League team?" may not seem so mad after all. Alan Timson writes:Being a Reading fan I am of course delighted with my teams progress and first season in the top flight, but I will say this, supporting a non league club is great! You don't have to worry about parking, expensive entrance fees, you get treated like a person as opposed to a number, it's good knowing that your money is helping the club sustain itself, plus the standard of football generally isn't as bad as people think. NL trips remind me of the good old days at Elm Park and I had so much fun going down to Gander Green Lane last season to support the mighty Sutton United!!! Don't get me wrong though, I wouldn't change things for the world at Reading now. Mike Henry writes:I've given up the season ticket I had for half the games at Anfield because it was getting too expensive. I now go & watch Bootle FC in the Vodkat league!!! £3 to watch a game which normally delivers a good standard of Football!!! That'll do for me......I'll watch Liverpool on TV & save my money!!!! Steven Chadwick writes:I've left all that Premier rubbish behind...fed up of overpaid premadonnas who play for the cash not the shirt and the JCL Euro96 brigade who think football began with Italia90. Nar shove em. We'll do it right. FCUM is the future. Simon Watts writes:I have to say having been lucky enough to visit a lot of Premiership grounds in recent years I still get the biggest buzz watching my team in the Conference - and trips to places like Grays, Dagenham and Woking last season are certainly not glamourous - but were great fun being stood back on the terraces. At Grays I actually saw a goalmouth that looked like such a quagmire it seemed to affect our goalkeeper Billy Turley's ability to catch the ball that day. But I'd urge anyone who supports a Premiership team to get down to watch their local side when they have a spare Saturday ... The former Arsenal striker Christopher Wreh lined up for my local side Buckingham Town last season!
