Congestion Charge

More London buses, faster moving traffic

Buses increased after congestion extension

More bus routes have been laid on following the extension of the congestion charge zone to cover west London

New Route

Route 452 is a new bus route now running from Wandsworth Road Station to Kensal Rise

Re-routed Buses

Route 44 has been rerouted at Battersea to run to Victoria Station, along with the N44 which runs run onto Aldwych.

Extended Routes

  • Route 31 Camden Town to Notting Hill Gate has been extended to Shepherd's Bush Green
  • Route 46 has been extended from Warwick Avenue to Lancaster Gate, via Paddington
  • Route 430 (Roehampton to West Brompton) has been extended to South Kensington Station via Old Brompton Road

Increased frequency

The most noticeable change is in the increased frequency on 14 routes.

  • Route 9 (Aldwych to Hammersmith),
  • Route 10 (Hammersmith to Kings Cross)
  • Route 11 (Fulham Broadway to Liverpool Street)
  • Route 14 from Putney Heath to Tottenham Court Road, has been extended to Warren Street and runs more frequently in the week
  • Route 16 (Cricklewood to Victoria) now runs more frequently during the during the week
  • Route 18 (Sudbury - Euston) now runs more frequently Routes 22 (Putney Common to Piccadilly Circus) and 27 (Turnham Green to Chalk Farm) run more frequently throughout the week
  • Route 23 (Westbourne Park to Liverpool Street) will now run all buses to Westbourne Park via Elkstone Road, instead of approximately half the service terminating at Sainsbury's in Ladbroke Grove
  • Route 52 now has an additional journey during the busiest hour of the morning peak period
  • Route 94 (Acton Green to Piccadilly Circus) now has an additional eastbound morning peak time journey
  • Route 239 from Clapham Junction to Victoria now runs more frequently throughout the week
  •  Route 328 (Golders Green to Chelsea) now runs more frequently
  •  Route 344 from Clapham Junction to Liverpool Street now runs more frequently throughout the week, and a new 24 hour service has been introduced
  • In addition Route C3 (Clapham Junction to Earl's Court) will be increased in frequency throughout the week from next Saturday

Bigger buses

Route 319 from Streatham Hill to Sloane Square now operates with double deck buses and carries a much higher number of passengers
