London commuters on Thursday face a difficult journey to and from work on Thursday as weather forecasters are predicting the heaviest snowfalls of the winter so far.
The snow, which is expected to fall for several hours, could be 2cm to 5cm deep in south-east England. It could even reach 10cm during the day.
The Highways Agency has warned of poor driving conditions on Thursda, and rail travellers can also expect disruption in some parts of the UK.
Airports around London have faced partial or full closures. Passengers are urged to check with their airlines before heading to their airport.
On the Tube in London, services have already been disrupted on the Central, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern and Piccadilly lines.
The Transport for London spokeswoman said staff were working to clear platforms which had been closed because of snow.
Further travel disruption is expected in and around London during the day. Keep up to date with the latest road and public transport information.
