South Londoner Ed Vallance brings indie folk to London Calling

Ed Vallance grew up in Dulwich and has kept his roots firmly South of the river, now residing in trendy Clapham.

As a song writer and performer Ed's indie / folk influences include Marvin Gaye, David Bowie and Thom Yorke and says he would love to cover Niel Young's Cortez The Killer.

Playing since he was in short trousers, Ed has gone on to secure a residency at LA's notorious Viper Room, as well as being selected for London's City Showcase and asked to play Virgin Megastore.

Having recruited a band Ed is now backed up by guitar player Simon Shippey, bassist Jeff Mann, drummer Colin McCann  and Mark Tucker on keys.

Now performing at various venues you can catch up with all the band's activities on their website, or via the City Showcase site. (See lefthand column for links)
