Ramaa Sharma is BBC London's reporter for Ealing and Hounslow. As a tri media reporter Ramaa works across BBC London's online, television and radio productions.
I've spent the last year covering two boroughs in the East End, Waltham Forest and Redbridge. I've really enjoyed learning about what these boroughs have to offer and have met some very welcoming people on the way. I'll continue to keep a breast of some of the campaigns that really demonstrated great local camaraderie, William Morris Museum Campaign as well as the opposition against NHS Fit for the Future programme.
They say nothing is constant but change and thus in this light, the areas I cover have also changed. Fortunately, I've been given the opportunity to cover my home patch. Areas that I've grown up in, studied and socialised in. Boroughs I have a special affinity with, Ealing and Hounslow.
Careerwise, I've wanted to be a broadcaster since I was fifteen, so in my time I have indeed made several cups of tea on the way! Being quite strong willed, I've enjoyed working for CBS in New York, presenting for the BBC Asian Network and am now really enjoying working in London across all 3 mediums. The variety is great!
My interests are wide, a curious personality with a love for adventure, languages people and all that's mysterious. Most recentaly I've become addicted to the moving meditation that is Ashtanga yoga!
