On The Road 2006 in East London

For five days, BBC London 94.9's On The Road tour came live from the borough of Hackney. Find out what happened..

The BBC London 94.9 On The Road team set up camp outside Hackney Town Hall on Wednesday May 24 until Friday May 26. It then moved to the Paradise Gardens at Victoria Park on Saturday May 27.

Eddie Nestor and Kath Melandri started the proceedings off with Drivetime on Wednesday afternoon at 5pm  posing the question "Is London Fit for 2012?" and chatting to residents to find out what they thought.

Throughout the week there was health and fitness checks, free breakfasts for cyclists and a basketball demonstration.

On Saturday May 27 the On The Road Show moved to Paradise Gardens for Fusion East at Victoria Park and on Sunday May 28 Sean Rowley presented his Guilty Pleasures show live from the gardens.
