Lucky Nurse and other Short Musical Plays, a bill of four musicals by Michael John LaChiusa, is staged tonight, and on 9th and 16th April at the Finborough Theatre. David Darrian directs this show which was first performed in New York in 1991.

Robert Bathurst and Nicolas Tennant
The two of us: Members Only

Robert Bathurst and Nicolas Tennant star in the British premiere of the hit French play Members Only by Fabrice Roger-Lacan, opening at the Trafalgar Studios 2 (following previews from 28 March). Revolving around two lifelong friends and business partners whose relationship is affected when one can't attend the other's 40th birthday, it is directed by Marianne Badrichani.

Dawn French and Alison Moyet star in Smaller, a new play by TV writer Carmel Morgan, with music (by Moyet), opening at the Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue under the direction of Kathy Burke (following previews from 28 March). It tells the story of a woman (French) and her selfless devotion to her disabled mother (June Watson).

Piano man: James Fox

Twyla Tharp's Broadway hit narrative ballet set to 24 Billy Joel songs, Movin' Out, opens at the Apollo Victoria (following previews from 28 March), for a season to 17 July. James Fox performs the Joel songs live at the piano, backed by a full onstage band, with an international company of dancers that include Holly Cruickshank, Ron Todorowski, David Gomez, Matthew Dibble and Laura Costa-Chaud.
