Celebrities on the run

Among the 32,000 runners expected to run this year's London Marathon will be dozens of celebrities determined to complete the gruelling course.

Actors, olympians, supermodels, TV chefs and even members of the monarchy have committed themselves to running the big event - all in aid of charity.

Together, they're expected to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes.

Gordon Ramsay, the famously temperamental chef, will be making his 7th appearance in the London Marathon. He will be running for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.

Jade Goody sprung to fame after reaching the final four housemates during series three of the Big Brother house. She's running for the children's charity the NSPCC.

Sir Steve Redgrave is the only British athlete to win five gold medals at five consecutive Olympic Games. He'll be raising money for his charitable foundation the Steve Redgrave Trust.

British actress Patricia Potter is widely known as senior registrar Diane Lloyd in BBC1's Holby City and will be supporting The Anthony Nolan Turst.

Another actor Tony Curran -  whose recent films include 'Flight of the Phoenix' and 'Gladiator' -  is also running in this year's marathon in his bid to raise cash for Leukaemia Research.

Former head of the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, Adam Crozier then took charge of the Football Association before taking over as Royal Mail Chief Executive in 2003. He's raising money for Help the Hospices charity.

Supermodel Sophie Anderton is championing The National Autistic Society. She has modelled for many high profile campaigns including Top Shop, Knickerbox and Marks & Spencers.

Lady Isabella Hervey is the youngest daughter of the 6th Marquis of Bristol. She recently took the crown of female champion in The Games and also appeared on the popular ITV reality TV show Celebrity Love Island. She is supporting the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Princess Tamara, the daughter of Prince Adan Czartoyski-Barton of Spain will be running for the National Autistic Society.

Chucky Venice plays Curtis Alexander in Sky One's Dream Team. He has also appeared in other productions for theatre, film and TV including Randell & Hopkins. The Anthony Nolan Trust is his chosen charity.

Jennifer James is best known for her role as Coronation Street's barmaid Geena. She is is currently starring as WPC Kim 'Posh' Spicer in BBC's Dalziel and Pascoe. She hopes to raise money for Barnados.

North Londoner Chinna Wodu is running in aid of The Stroke Association. He is best known for playing Dr Sean Thompson in Holby City.
