BBC London Family History Day Sunday 12th February at the British Library, St Pancras, 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB We are sorry but all the entry tickets for the Family History Day have now all been allocated. Anyone who already has an entry ticket will be able to make bookings for lectures and workshops on Sunday 12th February. Tickets will be made available in the Conference Centre, one hour before the start of each event. TALKS
Subjects covered will include how to get the most from the National Archives, from newspapers, maps, manuscripts and military archives. Also suggestions for researching African, Caribbean and Asian ancestors and how to conserve crucial documents and photographs.
WORKSHOPS
A number of workshops for adults and children will explore how to make the most of the inspiration your family history research unleashes. There will also be the opportunity to see work by professional artists and poets, inspired by their own heritage.
POETRY PERFORMANCES
Come and chill out to the sounds of some of the best contemporary spoken word artists who draw on themes of family and heritage in their work. There will be 45 minute performance poetry slots all afternoon.
