My London

Supermarket
Could go without for one whole month?

Could you live without using a supermarket for a month?

BBC London is searching for a family who are willing to avoid the supermarket for a month and do all their shopping at markets and local independent shops.

Supermarkets, they're convenient, stock all you could need and more and seem to offer fantastic value.

The big shop at Tescos, Asda, Morrison's or Sainsbury's has became a regular ritual but have we all become too dependent on these huge stores?

Do you think you could go for a whole month without nipping into your nearest supermarket for the weekly shop or any of those necessary items.

Vegetable stall

BBC London is hunting for a family who are willing to shop locally, just using markets stalls, independent traders and corner shops.

If you think you'd be able to manage it and don't mind us filming the results we'd like to hear from you.

Just email your name, address and details of your current food shopping habits to yourlondon@bbc.co.uk
