La Machine

Relive five magical days through the eyes of a super spider fan

The giant arachnid Liverpool has dubbed "La Princesse" left the city as mysteriously as she arrived. In a hail of fireworks, snow and fire and surrounded by a flotilla of cranes bearing her personal orchestra, she disappeared into the Birkenhead tunnel on Sunday evening.

She leaves behind a city somewhat enthralled by the action. Many fans have followed the spider's every step: from dangling above our station, to bathing in our docks, to dancing on our famous waterfront. Spider fan Dawn Mensah has been with La Machine from the first internet rumours to the grand finale. Relive five days of magic through her eyes.

La Machine in Liverpool: A North West Tonight Special (19:30 BBC One, Wednesday September 10th) will also take a look back at an extraordinary and spectacular few days in this year's European Capital of Culture.

Follow all the latest La Machine action with our mobile correspondents.
