Digital Story

My India by Jenny Collins

Tell us about yourself

My name is Jenny Collins. I am a 24 year old graphic design graduate. I am currently freelancing on a variety of local projects, and I am looking to work permanently in the north west. I am a fun fanatic - like to read and horse ride very week at a local centre.

What's your story about?

My story is based around my upbringing in Liverpool and my relationship with my Indian neighbours. My best friend and her mother were Indian dancers, and my story is based on my involvement with their performances over the years and the impact my enjoyment of the Hindu culture has had on my life and choice of career.

Why did you choose to tell this particular story?

This is a story which is my day to day life. It had an almost unknowing impact on me developing my interest in the arts and different cultures.
