The comedy masterpiece Art comes to Liverpool Playhouse in November. Les Dennis, Christopher Cazenove and John Duttine star in the comedy masterpiece.

Art takes a wry look at the concepts of value and friendship, and the way in which the two can cause friction. Three friends are forced to question what keeps them together after a quarrel over the pruchase of a work of art.

Art took the West End by storm when it opened winning both the London Evening Standard Award for best play and Olivier Award for Best comedy.

Two years later Art opened in America winning a coveted Tony Award for Best Play, and going on to become the most successful play in Broadway history.

Les Dennis' returns to his home town alongside Christopher Cazenove and John Duttine. Christopher Cazenove probably best known as Ben Carrington in Dynasty has also appeared in Judge John Deed and The Duchess of Duke Street. Les Dennis has appeared in chicago, while John Duttine's credits include Who Dares Wins and Jesus of Nazareth.

Art is at the Liverpool Playhouse from 17-22 November at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £20, concessions from £6 available from the Box Office on 1051 709 4776
