Underground Irish artist Mark Greville, now based in Liverpool, charted with his last two bands in Ireland (Zeel, Ginseng). Through hard work, he has built up his profile, amassed experience of radio and tv appearances and gained a loyal following. He describes his music as 'Stark Aggressive Acoustic Alternative Pop Rock!'

What?!

Well, listen for yourself here:'Names'. The music is across between Radiohead's 'The Bends' and James Browns 'Sex Machine' with a hint of 60s pop thrown in.

Described by one reviewer as 'Damien Rice in a fight,' Mark is noted for his fantastic voice and songwriting ability. Recently, Mark opened up 3 week UK and Irish tour for Stevo from the Fun Lovin Criminals and we're sure that he's destined for great things.

So what is Mark like? Well, in his own words: "I enjoy: Elvis Costello, TS Eliot, The Clash, Philip Larkin, Everton FC, Bo Selecta, The Manic Street Preachers, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, old Elton John (pre 80s), Prefrab Sprout, Everton FC, watching my father sleep in front of the telly, and then pretend he's been 'resting his eyes', Levkas Man - Hammond Innes, The Trial - Franz Kafka, Decade of Aggression - Slayer, George Gershwin, drinking in Flatterys, laughing".

Live Dates:

March 4th @ The Vines, Liverpool.

March 16-18th @ The Burrells (venues TBD), Cork, St Patrick Festival.

March 19th @ Triskel Theatre, Cork, St Patrick Festival.
