years Summer Pops promises to be the biggest and best ever. Held at
Liverpool's Kings dock the event is as much a part of summer as beach
towels and rubbish telly.

David, The Beach Boys, Sugababes, Paul Weller
and Jools Holland are just some of the acts confirmed for this years
Summer Pops.
Peter
Kay's five dates sold out in record time, making him the fastest selling
artist at the Summer Pops. The
Sugababes featuring Liverpudlian Heidi Range along with Keisha Buchanan
and Mutya Buenaalong, have taken the pop world by storm over the past
year with hits including 'Freak Like Me', 'Round Round', and latest
single 'Shape', along with their debut album 'Angels with Dirty Faces'.
In February, they scooped a highly prestigious Brit Award for Best
British Dance Act.

Organisers
hope that this years Pops will be the most successful ever with sales
topping last years 70,000.
Councillor
Mike Storey, leader of Liverpool City Council, said: "The Liverpool
Summer Pops really has something for everyone this year! Peter Kay
and the Sugababes are both new types of acts for the Big Top, but
the one thing they have in common is that they have massive appeal
and will provide a fabulous evening of entertainment for thousands
of people."
