Edwin had worked with many top music names such as Berry Gordie, Isaac Hayes, Norman Whitfield and the Motown Label to name just a few.

Now Edwin is reaching a new generation with his classic anti-conflict single ‘War’ and at this time it has never been more topical given world events.

In his last ever interview, Mandy Smith of the ‘Upfront’ programme on BBC Radio Merseyside spoke to the music legend about his life and career.

This interview has not been edited.
