After
two years of phone calls, emails, harassment, injunctions, more
phone calls, messages in bottles, telepathy, subliminal thoughts,
more emails and visits to Paris, French house pioneers Cassius have
finally agreed to play Chibuku Shake Shake!!
Its truly taken that long to chip away at the resolve of the
until recently gig-shy outfit, and everyone at Chibuku is very happy
indeed. Cassius embody the main roots of Chibuku, a club richly
steeped in quality house music, and promoter Charlene sees it as
a perfect way to bring in the summer.
Weve
been chasing these guys for so long until weve been sacre
bleu in the face, she said.
After
seeing them in other clubs and festivals and their wicked
album 1999 we knew we had to get them. And La Mouche remains
one of the all time classic Chibuku tunes, from the first time it
was played in the Lemon Lounge to Play Paul dropping it on the third
birthday. Damo is also extremely chuffed he loves Cassius!
It
promises to be a very special night for the club, and theres
another surprise waiting for all in attendance. Charlene wont
say what, except that Saturday June 7th is going to be a more interactive
event that usual
Chibuku
are also proud to announce their involvement with the Tribal Gathering
Warehouse party on Saturday August 23rd.
