Mersey Inshore Rescue

The
River Mersey Inshore Rescue Service Mersey was first introduced
in 1984, to provide water borne safety cover for the thousands
of visitors to the Liverpool Garden Festival.
Since then, the Service has gone from strength to strength and
for the past 18 years, has been the only full time, independent,
professional maritime rescue service on UK inshore waters.
