Stanley was good at his lessons and very good at sports. He played for the school football team in 1929 when Morrison reached the semi finals of the City Championships.

He played again in the 1930-31 season and left school in 1931.

Stanley's school report
Stanley Miller has proved himself a very reliable boy.

"The cane was used and you dared not flinch when you put your hand out for one, two or three slashes. Afterwards you would put the palm of your hand on the cool tiles that were around the walls."
Stanley Miller

Class Seven

"When I was made House Captain of Livingstone House, one of my jobs was to water all the plant pots on all the windowsills, both in the Boys' and in the Girls' department which was upstairs and separate from us.

This was a good job as it got me out of class for a while and of course gave me a view of all the girls in their classrooms!"
Stanley Miller
