The museum took 12 months to build, all the work was completed by volunteers. The items on display came from all over the north west.

Guest Book
The guest book. There are now several volumes with signatures from all over the world including form many people whose parents and grandparents worked at Burtonwood during the war.

It was officially opened on 28th May 2002 by the Mayor of Warrington, Clr George Warburton, MP Helen  Southworth, Founder of the Burtonwood Association Mr Aldon Ferguson and President of the Association, Bob Moddrell.

The Museum was funded by the lottery Awards For All with a grant of £4,175.00 and by the Association membership and the selling of items in the Shop.
