F.W. Murnau's classic silent horror film from 1921 retains the capacity to chill hearts and moisten armpits in the depiction of a vampire spared the debonair styling of Hollywood or Hammer Horror.

Starring Max Shreck as Count Orlock, his iconic needle teeth, wasp-waist and elongated fingernails contribute to an air of decay that pools to drip steadily throughout this vintage nightmare inspired by Bram Stoker’s unholy creation.

Liverpool band a.P.A.t.T. have reached the culmination of a four-year project to provide the definitive, contemporary live soundtrack to this masterpiece of the macabre, presented in conjunction with PMS of BBC Radio Merseyside and the Big Screen Liverpool.

The event takes place Thursday 30th October 2008 at 7pm. The public are invited to move between two sites during the transmission period: observe the band in action at the BBC on Hanover Street and catch the full, audio-visual experience at the Big Screen in Clayton Square.

This is a free event. Presented in association with MTV Liverpool Music Week and the Long Night of the Biennial.
