On the Waterfront"A movie was being filmed at the Pierhead: it was called "Waterfront" & starred Kathleen Harrison. It was a dark, damp, cold night, I was wearing my first communion gloves, white cotton, that had been dyed dark brown. My fingers were so cold in the flimsy gloves that I put them in my mouth to warm them up. After standing in the bitter cold for what seemed an eternity, we got on the bus to go home. Everyone on the bus started to laugh. My mouth was covered in the brown dye & the fingers of my gloves were white!" Jimi Hendrix at the Empire"My first concert at the tender age of 14. While all my mates were going to the match, I was learning from the greats: Hendrix - Joe Cocker - Pink Floyd - Small faces - Humble Pie - David Bowie - Free - Wings - etc etc etc (too many to list). They were exceptional days, anyone that was anyone came to Liverpool to perform."
