Getting to the BBC

Visiting Liverpool? Why not drop in to the BBC building on Hanover street? You might catch an event in the performance space or see the Radio Merseyside DJs broadcasting from their studios. Here are directions to ensure you locate us easily.

BY TRAIN

The nearest railway station is Liverpool Central.

Liverpool Central to the BBC (on foot)

Exit Central Station by walking straight ahead onto Ranelagh Street. Turn left at exit and walk straight onto Hanover Street. We are located on your right hand side at the junction with College Lane.

This walk should take approximately 3 minutes.

Lime Street to the BBC (on foot)

Leave Lime Street station via the car park exit. Turn right and walk down the hill toward the city centre. Continuing forward, cross at the traffic lights onto Elliot street and head toward St John’s precinct. Follow the road around to the left onto Great Charlotte Street and proceed, Lewis’s department store will be ahead of you. Turn right onto Ranelagh Street. Central station will be on your left. Continue straight ahead onto Hanover Street. We are located on your right hand side at the junction with College Lane.

This walk should take approximately 10 minutes.

BY BUS

The Paradise Street bus station is the nearest depot.

Paradise St Bus Station to the BBC (on foot)

Leave the bus station by walking in the opposite direction to the waterfront and Albert Dock. Walk up Hanover Street. We are located on your left hand side at the junction with College Lane.

This walk should take approximately 3 minutes.
