Aintree Racecourse is warming up for its popular Ladies Night race meeting on Friday 14th May. In addition to an evening of horses and courses, visitors will also be treated to a live appearance by singer Peter Andre, star of the recent ITV series of 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!'

Andre will perform a number of songs, including his chart hit 'Mysterious Girl' in front of the grandstands after racing. Surely one of pop music's most intriguing comebacks this year, the event should prove to be good preparation for the tanned popster, as he will shortly embark on a UK tour.

On the 14th May, he follows in the footsteps of acts such as Mis-Teeq and Atomic Kitten, both of whom have performed at previous Ladies Night meetings. Typical crowds for a Ladies Night fixture number in the tens of thousands, so Aintree is predicting another bumper attendance for Peter Andre.

On the night, gates open at 5:00pm, with the first of 6 televised races being at 6:05pm. An additional support act will entertain the crowds prior to Peter Andre appearing on stage at around 9:15pm, following the final race of the evening.

Commenting on the evening's line-up, Dickon White, Marketing Manager of Aintree Racecourse said: "After our record-breaking Grand National meeting, we are hoping that many racegoers will be back to sample the magical atmosphere of racing at Aintree. The evening is another highlight in the North West's social calendar and we expect to see a spectacle of colour, as racegoers don the latest summer styles. This will be Aintree's last fixture until Family Day in October."

Tickets can be purchased at an advanced discount price of £12 until Friday 30th April. After this, tickets will cost £15 with accompanied children aged 16 and under going free. NUS card holders and Senior Citizens can purchase a ticket on the night for £8. Tickets allow access to all public grandstand areas. Restaurant packages for the meeting have now sold out.
