Stars from music and soaps will be amongst those battling it out on the pitch at Goodison Park for the crown of Soccer Six Champions.

Football in the Community spokesman Ted Sutton says “This is great news for Everton and great news for the area.”

After a spell being staged at Anfield, the fundraiser switches to Goodison the day after The Blues’ final home match of the season against Aston Villa. It’s expected that a number of the first team squad will be backing the event which has been supported by celebrities like Robbie Williams, ex-Westlife star Brian McFadden, “I’m a Celebrity..” winner Kerry McFadden and TV presenters Ant & Dec.

The event has become one of Liverpool’s essential, fun days out due to its widespread appeal among the in-crowd of TV, music and sport. It’s also a hugely successful way of raising money for the Prince’s Trust with thousands of pounds generated for the charity catering for 14-30 year olds seeking to achieve new life goals.

“Everyone is aware just how popular the Soccer Six tournament has become,” says Sutton. “We are looking forward immensely to welcoming the big names of show business to Goodison on Sunday May 9th.”

Anyone interested in the ‘Soccer Six’ event is asked to contact the Piccadilly Box Office on 0151 256 5555.
