Ghost watch at Woodcocks
Matchbox on small table. At Burton Waters Marina, you'll find a pub called Woodcocks. It has great management and nice staff who enjoy working there but unknown to its punters, this public house holds a secret and they've called in a team of experts to investigate.
Was it moved by a ghost?

The Lincs Paranormal Research Team were called in to take a look at some abnormal activity going on in the early hours of the morning. There were reports of the staff and management seeing wispy figures that seemed to disappear into the walls.

The team consisted of an investigator who has had many experiences in the past, a sceptic who believes only in scientific means, a husband and wife team who are open and have done some medium-ship themselves, a taxi driver who has an uncanny ability to sense things and a well respected medium from Yorkshire.

Baseline Test

The night started off with some tests. The team had brought various pieces of equipment to check out the rooms. There were digital thermometers, Dowsing rods and cameras. They made use of talcum powder, empty boxes of matches. All these props are used to
detect any unusual activity.

First Signs

In a corner of the room one of the team felt a slight change in temperature so he took a dowsing rod to it and found that the direction of the rods changed. This could mean one of two things, either there was water running under the ground or something unusual was happening. This prompted the leader to get a thermometer to the area.

Next the owners of the pub directed the group to the ladies loos, where most people who went in there reported an uncomfortable feeling. Pictures were taken with the digital camera and the medium was in trying to sense the area. Nothing was said but things were starting to escalate.

Living Room

As soon as the group walked into this room lots of things started to happen. There was the video camera that suddenly stopped working and the unusual photographs that seemed to take more than the naked eye could see.

The group decided to use this room as the main area of investigation and they promptly turned on a tape recorder and rigged the matchbox. This was they could see if there really was a ghost in the area. Once the props had been set up the room was sealed.

On Street

Next they were told about someone being hung on the main tree outside so the medium went out first to sense the perimeter, then came the rest of the team with the video and digital cameras.

Séance

After all the checks had been done the whole group held a circle to allow the medium to see is she could bring some people through. There were lots of Personalities who seemed to want to express themselves but unfortunately this was disrupted by a member of the circle who wasn't getting into flow of the situation.

Conclusion

The medium discussed what she sensed with the team and the publicans. They in turn confirmed or denied what she saw. This was open to the whole group and in this discussion there were lots of unanswered questions which seemed to need further investigation.

The group was satisfied that there was enough going on to warrant a second visit.
