| What
type of student are you? |
|

 |
 |
As
a student do you see yourself as a swot or a larger
lout? Lincoln
University student, Hannah
O'Neill explains some of the types of students she has noticed.
|
| Students
working on computers |
|

|
|
 |
| The
Square |
| Generally
found in the library or in front of the computer at home, the
Square is usually quiet and reserved. These types of student
are work conscientious and only attend major nights out - if
any. They are usually described as; 'oh she's such a sweet girl,
she's just very quiet' or 'who's that?' They are usually the
person you would love to work in a group with; they are guaranteed
to have a plentiful list of ideas, will be great with computers
and would insist on taking the bulk of the work load. |
| The
Geek |
| Usually
this species of student is on his own or lagging behind a group
of people desperate to keep up. Bounding along with his back
pack on two shoulders (something which can only be carried off
by certain naturally-cool people), he can be seen chasing lecturers
and panicking about deadlines and exams. The Geek is also the
person to go to when you are doing work at university because,
guaranteed, they will have a bulging pencil case full of pens,
pencils, staplers, glues, scissors, and pretty much any other
item you could possibly need. |
| The
Casuals |
| These
are the students who causally stroll into lectures half way
through and are confused as to why lecturers get annoyed with
them. They can usually be seen in oversized trousers and T-shirts
(that look like they've never seen an iron or infact a washing
machine). Their hair is either overgrown or shaved off, both
of which are done for convenience. |
| The
Socialites |
| These
are perhaps the stereotypical student; they love the student
life. They spend their days in bed or in the pub or both. Their
attendance to lectures or seminars way heavily on the amount
of alcohol consumed the night before. 'Any excuse for a party'
is their motto; be it birthdays, deadline days, or just because
it's a Wednesday. During deadline week the socialites can be
found in the library from opening to close, they cram their
work in and can often be seen running to hand in their work
a minute before hand in. |
| The
Tart |
| She
totters into university in four inch heels and an over-the-top
outfit, the Tart thinks every day is a fashion show. She is
the girl that all the guys love and all the girls love to hate.
Every male is a flirting opportunity- strangers included and
let's face it they love it. |
