| Hangover
cures |

It's
the morning after the night before and you wake up in a strange
bed. You rub your eyes and try to make sense of the world you
have woken up to. Then it hits you...that dodgy feeling in your
stomach and the splitting headache piercing your eyes. It can
only mean one thing - the dreaded hangover.
Here are a few tried and tested cures which you might like to
try the next time you have a few brews too many - if you know
any good ones please email them in to lincolnshire@bbc.co.uk
and we'll add them to the list! |
DON'T MIX YOUR DRINKS
Don't mix your drinks, don't mix your drinks, don't mix your drinks.
Unless one of them's water. |
SLEEP IT OFF
You've
been drinking hard, you deserve a good rest. |
FRY IT UP
Get
stuck into a great British fried breakfast with lots of grease. |
LIQUID DREAMS
Before you go out drinking, put a glass of water next to your bed.
When you get home drink it before you crash out. (Works best if you
know where you'll be sleeping.) |

HAIR OF THE DOG
Plenty of people swear by it - get a pint down you |
JUICE IT UP - drink fruit juice
The water in juice rehydrates your body, the fructose (sugar) it contains
helps burn up the alcohol leaving you feeling just peachy. |
QUIT SMOKING
Smoking doesn't just kill, it makes hangovers a lot worse. Quit and
your hangovers will be 50% less nasty. Guaranteed. |
THINK GINGER
Ginger tea is good if you're at that 'I wanna throw up' stage.

I believe the best way to get over a hangover is to definately
start drinking again if you continue drinking you wont realise you
are suffering from a hangover. - Lynett from Lincolnshire
|
Eat apples
- They contain a chemical that is more effective than caffiene in
making you feel more awake. The sugar also helps burn up some of the
alcohol
- Ruth Hill |
Hi, another
hangover cure i find works for me is as well as drinking a pint of
water before going to bed after a night out - brush your teeth! it
gets rid of the horrible taste in your mouth when you wake up and
somehow lessens the effect of a hangover. - Sara
