Dave
was born in 1952 and grew up in Norfolk He joined the Royal Navy in 1968 and
trained as an electrician in readiness for his first draft, HMS Ark Royal.
Two years later he was transferred to Polaris submarines.
On leaving the
services he worked in commercial radio in Scotland before moving to Radio Two
and then on to BBC Radio Lincolnshire via other BBC local stations.
Outside
work he loves to play golf and enjoys skiing in the winter.
He
says his perfect day would be spent with friends, drinking gin and tonic and planning
holidays.
His
ambition is to own a modest boat and sail the canals of England travelling as
slowly as time permits.
