Help playing audio/video Did you know?Far from the stereotype of what you'd imagine a rapper to be, 23 year old Tom Adams is also the proud holder of a law degree, "rap is just something I fell into, friends that I made at Uni were really into it and encouraged me to write." Topics for Luminus' songs vary from everyday issues, to true stories between his family and social group. One of his pieces 'Kicking it down', which is about his hometown of Boston, received 36,000 hits on You Tube; after a friend submitted his video to the site. Tom goes on to tell me "I was surprised how much attention the song got, I was happy because it got me a lot of publicity, but I regret the image that was created around me because of it." ![]() Boston Rap Artist Luminus Achievements to date include: playing to a crowd of 8,000 at Boston's 'Party in the Park' event; Tom explains that even though he'd had just one practice before the show, he and the musicians that supported him on the night managed to pull the set off and both the group and the crowd really enjoyed the gig. His ambition for the year is to continue building a fan base, and with their support reach recognition for his music in the charts.
