Skegness Musical Theatre Company

The latest news and information from the Skegness Musical Theatre Company.

The original Skegness Operatic Society was founded in 1935 and closed for business at the onset  of WW11. The present society formed in 1965 and its inaugural show was 'The King and I' performed to a live audience in the same year. The society's name changed in 2000, formerly known as the Skegness and District Operatic Society, the society is now called the Skegness Musical Theatre Company.

The society's members give their time for free and for the thrill and enjoyment of providing a fantastic show for the local community. We aim to perform to a high professional standard and have received extremely positive feedback from their  audiences.

Historically, Skegness Musical Theatre Company have performed a wide variety of operettas, musical comedies and shows at various local village and theatre venues  - The company's shows are now normally staged and performed at the Embassy Theatre venue in Skegness.
