In 1866 a group of Spalding Gentlemen formed an Amateur Society for the performance of plays. In 1928 an Operatic Society was formed to present musical plays and the happy union of both societies created S.A.D.O.S as it is known today. We are very proud to be probably the oldest such Society in England, and every year we perform a play and a musical for the people of South Holland. Current ProjectsPizza, Fries, Ghosts and LiesIt was all the fault of Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore! If Simon and Sarah Damon hadn’t been watching “Ghost” they would never have contemplated a night in with a couple of close friends, a bottle of wine and the Ouija board. But the party is gate-crashed by a confused pizza delivery man and four very dead, uninvited guests. As the evening unfolds the mayhem continues: a gypsy curse, a web of lies, murder…and a spicy chicken thin crust with extra chips. This brand new contemporary play, written by Brett Moore, has all the elements of great farce but with an added gruesome and ghostly edge.
