For many of us of a certain age Tom Baker was the definitive Dr Who. Tom was born in Liverpool, the son of a cleaner and a sailor from a working class family. He left school at the age of 15 and spent the next six years as a novice monk. He joined Melvyn Prior for a chat about his career and his new series of five audio adventures for BBC Audiobooks called Hornets' Nest.

I met John Barrowman, star of Dr Who and Torchwood, last year at Birmingham after the panto Aladdin at the Hippodrome. John was lovely he signed autographs and posed patiently for photos with his fans.He is a great allround entertainer. He is fantastic!
